Laurens Hammond

Hammond History

The Hammond Organ was invented in 1934 by Laurens Hammond in Evanston, Illinois USA. Five years later Donald Leslie invented the Leslie Speaker in Pasadena California USA, and thus the legends were born. Their spirit of innovation and demand for excellence in sound, feel and construction live to this very day in all our instruments. There are many imitators, but none surpass the fruit of their genius minds.
