The model 122A is specifically designed for older Hammond Organs requiring a separate tone cabinet for sound reproduction, such as the A,B,C and RT models. It is identical to the Model 122xb, with the exception of having a 6-pin connector, and no ¼” or footswitch jack.
This is the “122” you’ve come to know and love.

The Classic Leslie Speaker, made to Don Leslie’s “Original Recipe”, same as it has been since 1941. This two-speed speaker cabinet uses a traditional tube amplifier with a heavy duty driver for the horn and special design 15” woofer for the bass rotor. Connections are made via the 11-pin plug found on all modern Hammonds, and certain clones. A 1/4” line-level input is also present. For older Hammond models, adapter kits are available.

The model 147a is specifically designed for single-channel organs with self-contained speaker systems, such as Hammond Organ model A-100 and spinet models such as M, M-2, M-100 and L-100. Please refer to the Leslie Model 122XB product page for demonstration.

Although the Leslie models 122 and 147 share an identical cabinet design, they are dissimilar both electrically and sonically. The pin configurations are different, therefore an organ having a kit for a 122 will NOT interface with a 147. Also, a 147 will be slightly brighter intone than a 122, since it was designed for a different application
