Hammond Artist FRED MANDEL Plays on New ANTHRAX Track

Hammond Artist FRED MANDEL has had a great career-he’s played keyboards with PINK FLOYD, ELTON JOHN, QUEEN, ALICE COOPER, and CHEAP TRICK, and that’s just the start. He’s at it again, with a hot contribution to a new track by the Heavy Metal band “ANTHRAX”.

Wait! ANTHRAX? Not the first band you’d think of with a HAMMOND connection, but their new Album is a bunch of their favorite songs done up in their style. One of the songs they chose is “Smokin'” by BOSTON, and most songs by that Classic Rock Group featured Tom Scholz on his trusty B-3. The ANTHRAX guys wanted their homage to ring true, so the Album’s Producer JAY RUSTON called his old pal FRED in to add the necessary “flavor”. FRED cranked up his HAMMOND Xk-1 and blazed through a great solo and more. FRED loves his Xk-1, but will soon be “bumping up” to a new SK-1.

Just another reason that HAMMOND ROCKS, ‘cos we’re THE SOUND, THE SOUL, THE ONE!! Accept no substitutes!!
